Property64 (property64.com) is a classifieds site for property in Bangladesh. People post homes, flats, land, shops, and running businesses for sale or rent. Other people search, call, chat, or post what they are looking for. This page says what we keep when you do those things, who can see it, and how to ask us to change or close it.
We are Property64. Our office is located at Shyamoli, Dhaka. For a privacy question, use the Support page and pick the account department, or email [email protected].
We keep what we need to run accounts, listings, messages, and payments. We do not sell your phone number or email to advertisers or data brokers. A phone number on a listing stays hidden until a logged-in member taps Show. A Smart Request shows matching sellers your first name, photo, and what you are looking for. Your phone stays hidden until that seller unlocks the request. Card and mobile-banking details are typed on SSLCommerz’s page. We do not store them. We do not ask for your NID, passport, or TIN.
To register we ask for a name, an email or a mobile number, and a password. You can also sign in with Google. Google then sends us your name, email, Google account id, and profile photo, and we treat that email as already verified.
We send a short code by email or SMS to confirm the address or number is yours. We store a hash of that code, and it expires within minutes. The plain code is not kept.
On your profile you can add a photo, a cover, a short about, a city, a street address, a website, a WhatsApp number, and links to Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, or YouTube. You also pick how you use the site: property owner, property delegate, agent, agency, real estate company, or developer. That label is public on your profile and on your ads.
Your public profile shows your name, photo, that label, the month you joined, your live ads, and your forum posts. If you fill in About, the address, or social links, those show on the About tab. Your login email and password stay private. Your mobile and WhatsApp are not printed on the profile. They are the contact on your ads, as described below.
A listing can include the title, description, price, deposit, size, beds and baths, location, photos, a video link, and the address you type. If you type a street address, it appears on the public ad. Photos are public. A face, a number plate, or a house number in a photo is public too. Remove those before you upload if you do not want them online.
Some ads say who the place is for. A hostel or a seat can say it is for men or for women. That describes the room. It is not a record of your own gender. A business ad can include monthly sales, expenses, and profit if you type them. Those figures are published with the ad.
The name on the ad follows your profile name. The phone and WhatsApp follow the numbers on your account. A visitor who is not logged in sees a masked number. A logged-in member can tap Show to reveal the phone, tap WhatsApp to open a chat in the WhatsApp app, or tap Chat to message you inside Property64. We count those taps on the ad. One account can reveal only a limited number of phones in an hour, so nobody can collect every seller’s number by walking the site.
Once someone has your number, it is on their phone. We cannot delete it from their call log. When an ad is marked sold or rented, the contact buttons close.
If you are looking, you can post a Smart Request: sale or rent, property type, up to five areas, a budget, beds, and for some rentals who the place should suit. Sellers whose live ads match see your first name, your profile photo, and those details, next to the ad that matched. They do not see your phone or WhatsApp until they unlock that request. Unlocking can be free, or a fee in taka paid through SSLCommerz. After they unlock, they see your mobile and, if you saved one, your WhatsApp. They can hide a lead from their own list. Requests expire.
Post a request only if you are comfortable with matched sellers knowing your first name and what you want, and with one of them paying to call you.
In-app chat belongs to one listing and two accounts. We store the messages, who sent them, and when they were read. Those two people are the audience. Our team can open a conversation if we are looking into abuse, a report, or a lawful request.
The community forum is public. Posts, comments, photos, YouTube links, and Giphy stickers appear with your name and photo. Votes, mentions, and points are part of that forum. A sticker search is sent to Giphy so they can return the image. A YouTube link is played by YouTube.
You can report a listing or a post. We keep the reason, your note, and which account sent it, so a moderator can act.
You may pay to post or renew an ad, to promote an ad or your profile, or to unlock a buyer lead. Checkout goes to SSLCommerz. They handle cards, mobile banking, and net banking under their own rules. We send them your name, email, and phone so the payment can be tied to your order. We then store the order number, the amount in taka, what you bought, the status, the time, the gateway transaction id, and the payment-method name they send back. We do not store the card number, the CVV, or a bKash PIN.
If an account has a payment, we keep that order even after the account is closed. We need it for the invoice, a refund, or a dispute.
We email or SMS you verification codes, listing updates, and payment receipts. Those messages are part of the account.
We also send quieter mail: a reminder before a listing expires, or a note if you have been away for a while. That mail has an unsubscribe link. If you use it, we stop the non-essential mail and keep a note that you opted out. On that non-essential mail we can see whether the message was opened or a link was clicked. Verification and payment mail is not tracked that way.
The Support form asks for your name, email, a department, a subject, and a message. We email that to the right inbox and email you a copy. The conversation continues by email. Property64 does not keep it as a ticket on the site.
SMS codes go out through the SMS provider set up for the site. They see the destination number and the text. We keep a send log so we can stop abuse: too many codes to one number, one network address, or the whole site in a day.
The site uses a few cookies of its own.
- A session cookie keeps you logged in.
- A security cookie stops forged form submissions.
- A language cookie remembers Bangla or English.
- A marketer cookie is set if you open a /go link. It lasts for the number of days in our marketer settings, often 30, and only records that you came from that link.
If we switch them on in the admin panel, the site may also load Google Analytics, a Meta pixel, and either Cloudflare Turnstile or Google reCAPTCHA. Those tools set their own cookies and stay off until we enable them. Google sign-in, WhatsApp, YouTube, and Giphy receive the data needed for the button you pressed.
We keep the account while it is open. A listing stays up for its published life, then expires. After a grace period it can be removed. Sold and rented ads stay closed and then follow the same cleanup. Verification codes expire in minutes. Email send logs are deleted on a schedule. Forum posts stay until you or a moderator deletes them. Payment records stay for as long as we need them for accounts and disputes.
You can edit your name, photo, about, address, social links, email, mobile, and WhatsApp from your account. A new phone number updates your live ads.
You can take down your own ads and delete your own forum posts from the dashboard.
There is no “delete my account” button. Write through Support and ask us to close it. We will take the ads down and sign you out. If the account has never paid, we can delete it. If it has payments, we suspend it, keep the invoices, and take the public profile down as far as those records allow.
You can leave non-essential email with the unsubscribe link in those emails. You can ask for a copy of the account data we hold, or ask us to correct it. We answer a genuine request sent from the email or number on the account. We will refuse a request that would expose another member’s messages or another seller’s phone number.
Passwords are stored as a hash. Verification codes are stored as a hash. The site is served over HTTPS. Phone numbers are not written into the public page for guests. Staff accounts are limited by role: not everyone who works on the site can see everything. No website can promise that a number, once shown to another member, stays secret. Be careful what you type in a listing, a chat, or a forum post.
Property64 is for adults dealing with property. We do not aim the site at children, and we do not knowingly keep an account for a child. If you believe a child has an account, tell us through Support and we will close it.
If this page changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top. If we change how phone numbers or payments are shared, we will also say so by email or a notice on the site.
The laws of Bangladesh govern this policy. It sits beside our Terms of Service. It describes how Property64 works. A deal, a deed, or a payment between two members is between them.
